      UPS is the primary carrier of choice. USPS will be used on P O Box deliveries. Tracking provided at no extra cost.
    • Hawaii, Alaska
      will incur shipping fees approxiamtely at actual cost. US Postal Service is the carrier of choice. Priority Mail is the rate of choice. Tracking automatically provided
    • Canadian and Overseas orders
      will incur shipping fees equal to approximately actual cost.
      USPS's Priority Mail International rates will apply. Customs forms, insurance, and parcel tracking will automatically be provided at no extra cost.
    • Time-line
      Shipping will generally occur the same day that payment clears. The exception to that would be: orders and/or cleared payments that are received after 3 PM. Those orders would ship the next day (excepting Saturday, Sunday & Holidays) UPS does not have ordinary pick-up service Saturday, Sunday, or Holidays as well as on Christmas and New Years eves.
  • Special Orders
    
    are welcome for products where I have a previously established account with the manufacturer. It will be imperative to allow extra time on special orders where the product is not immediately on hand.
  • Returns:
    
    are allowed; but, must not be held in your possession over thirty (30) days. Further, the manufacturer's original packaging, tags, cards, and cushioning material must be returned intact; and, the footwear must be in the same condition as when you received it. Buyer pays return shipping.

    Nelson Shoe Store has weathered many ups and downs since 1901; but, has never strayed from the philosophy that a satisfied customer should always be the goal.
  • History:
    
    Emil Nelson founded Nelson Shoe Store in 1901. His children, Alvin, Myrtle, and Oscar formed a partnership and took over, sometime in the 1930's or 40's, as their father approached retirement. The partnership ran the business until March of 1975 when the business and the building were sold to me. In 1996, North Country Bank purchased the building from me in order to expand their office space and to provide for an improved and enlarged conference room. The shoe store was then re-located next door at 127 South Cedar Street (the original start up location) where it is today.
